Car Toolboxes Golborne

A Good toolbox is an essential for any car DIY enthusiast in Golborne. Tools that come in their own case with a slot for every piece look great, but as soon as you buy an additional socket, screwdriver or bit, they immediately become too small. Before long, you'll have lost that extra kit.

Car Toolboxes

A Good toolbox is an essential for any car DIY enthusiast. Tools that come in their own case with a slot for every piece look great, but as soon as you buy an additional socket, screwdriver or bit, they immediately become too small. Before long, you'll have lost that extra kit.

As with most things, size does matter, but biggest is not always best. Obviously if you are planning to transfer all your tools to the box, you'll need one that can accommodate them with room to spare for extra kit you may buy in the future. However, take care that you don't end up with a box so big you can't lift it, as this will be a pain if you need to carry it to your car. Around 50 centimetres long is about the right size to suit most needs.

Toolboxes made from plastic have really improved in recent years, and for us, they are now a better option than metal versions. They are generally as tough as steel, but aren't as heavy and won't rust. Inside, look for organiser trays, especially if they are removable, as they make it easy to separate smaller odds and ends, such as fuses or electrical connectors. If there are boxes in the lid for these easy-to-lose pieces, then check they can't slide out or open accidentally.

A removable tote tray which sits over the main compartment can be handy for taking tools to a job, although these can take up storage space.
